This 14-acre site south of and adjacent to Interstate 64 was originally developed as a 113,000 square foot Operations Center for Jefferson National Bank and subsequently acquired by Wachovia Bank.  The building and its grounds now serve as the Albemarle County Office Building South, which houses the county’s police and emergency services department.

The site posed design challenges both from a topographic and configuration standpoint resulting in terracing of the parking lots and planting bays.  McKee Carson’s responsibilities included site analysis, master planning, engineering of infrastructure and site design, comprehensive plan amendment and rezoning efforts, and construction period services.
