Robert B. McKee, Principal, PE,
CLA , received his B.S. in Civil
Engineering and Master of Landscape
Architecture degrees from the University of
Virginia. He is a Registered Professional
Engineer and Certified Landscape Architect.
Mr. McKee has over thirty years of experience
in land planning and design, and civil and
environmental engineering associated with
both public and private sector projects. He
is a member of the American Society of Civil
Engineers, the American Society of Landscape
Architects and the Urban Land Institute. He
has been a Lecturer at the University of
Virginia, School of Architecture, teaching
graduate coursework in land development.

Hunter McCardle, Principal, CLA , received
his B.L.A. from the School of Environmental
Design at the University of Georgia. He has
managed and collaborated on projects ranging
from habitat restoration, farm and estate
planning, schools and universities, museums,
and park and arboretum design. In addition
to design, his experience includes site
assessment and analysis, grading and
stormwater management, road design, master
planning, and construction documentation.
Hunter brings an approach to land use
planning and design that combines
conservation and stewardship with the
technical knowledge of ecological systems.

Eugene Ryang, Principal, CLA, received his Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Virginia. He received his B.A. in History from Columbia University. He has overseen and collaborated on a number of projects that include schools and universities, parks and arboretums, equestrian farms, zoos and low-impact land developments. His participation in these projects involved all levels of design from master planning to design development and construction documentation. His work brings an understanding and keen interest in sustainable engineering systems/ ‘green’ technologies, plants/horticulture and construction details.

Keith Whipple received a B.S. in Horticulture and Landscape Design from University of Georgia and later a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Commonwealth University where he concentrated in urban design and development. He gained early experience working in land development as a project manager and went on to act as Operations Director for an architectural, engineering, and surveying firm serving the central Virginia region. A committed interest in sustainable design and conscientious land development led him to McKee Carson. As Projects Director, Keith's experience in business administration and development couple to offer a unique perspective on markets, feasibility, and design processes.

Sri Komaragiri is a graduate from Ohio State University with a Masters degree in City and Regional Planning. She also holds a five year accredited bachelor's degree in architecture from India. Her diverse background in both architecture and planning give her great perspective to approach her job duties including site planning, site assessment research and development review submittals. She is also a recipient of the faculty prize for academic excellence in her second year graduate study at Ohio State University.

Alex Forasté, PE is a civil engineer and holds a MS degree from the University of Virginia, with a specialization in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering. His interest in the field stems from two years experience working as a Water Resources Engineer in Cameroon, Africa with the Peace Corps, as well as an internship with the Rhode Island DOT. During his second year of graduate school, he received the school-wide teaching assistant award (GTA) for excellence in teaching. McKee Carson’s emphasis on sustainable design, green engineering and LEED principles as they relate to storm water management and land development is what drew him to the firm.

Brajesh Tiwari, PE is a civil engineer. He received his MS degree from Virginia Tech and BS degree from IIT Roorkee, India. He has worked on a number of projects involving road design, storm water management analysis, and erosion and sediment control. He is also actively involved in the preparation of master plans, grading plans, and construction documents.

Bill Mauzy, holds a Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture and a B.A. in History from Virginia Tech. While in graduate school Bill worked as a teaching assistant and received the 2006 Graduate Stanley Abbott Award for Best Thesis. Since graduation, he has gained experience in the fields of residential landscape architecture, site planning, and project management. Through his studies and work he has developed a keen interest in working with the interface(s) between culture and environment. Megan Taylor studied environmental studies and geography at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, which included an ecological and cultural field study in the Tongass National Forest, Alaska. She then taught environmental education before her passion for the natural world in relation to human impact led her to the field of landscape architecture. She received a Master of Landscape Architecture Degree from the University of Texas, Austin. The practice of responsible impact through graceful and innovative environmental design and engineering at McKee Carson attracted Megan to the firm.>> email Megan:

Nathan Brown joined McKee Carson after graduating from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University with a Bachelors of Landscape Architecture. He was a member of the first place team in the ASLA/NSSGA National Student Quarry Reclamation Competition and also received the Johnson/McBee Scholarship for Excellence in Undergraduate Work. Working a number of internships while in school, including the Community Design Assistance Center, SFCS Inc., and Harvey-Delaney Landscape Architects, exposed him to a wide range of community, graphic, urban, and high-end residential design projects. Nathan’s interest in elegant, innovative, and environmentally sound design is what brought him to McKee Carson.

Brad Priest is a graduate of the University of Georgia's School of Environmental Design, where he earned his BLA. His interest in the field of Landscape Architecture comes from a deep respect for the natural world and a thus far lifelong urge to draw things (his specialty is 3D castles). He enjoys the limitless nature of design and respects the process of combining creativity with logic to solve problems. He believes in upholding a high level of social and environmental responsibility while remaining creative in his work, which is why he came to McKee Carson.
