Belvedere
Using infrastructure as the basis of design, McKee Carson employed low impact technologies and strategic design interventions to create a community landscape. Mixed canopy trees, woodland shrubs, and native grasses line the streets in undulating landforms representative of the Piedmont. Stormwater is collected and strategically revealed to engage and educate community members. Each component is designed and engineered by our team with the objective of connecting people to place.
Bundoran Farm
From conceptual Master Planning to detailed construction documentation and engineering of systems such as alternative stormwater management and conscientious road designs, McKee Carson has worked with Qroe Farm Development to create a conservation community that will enjoy, protect and enhance the farm and its adjacent natural amenities.
Vineyard Estates
A unique agriculturally-focused development currently under construction in southern Albemarle County, only a few miles from Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello and James Monroe’s Ash Lawn. Closely linked with the Kluge Estate Winery & Vineyard (literally across the road), the aim of the development is to allow homeowners to enjoy a rural estate lifestyle established around vineyards and wine production. Homeowners will be allowed to utilize the winery’s infrastructure to produce their own vintage wines and are encouraged to grow their own grapes on their property.
